Supply Chain & Procurement Manager

About the Role:

On behalf of one of our clients, a global leader in its industry, UMO Interim is seeking an experienced, rigorous, and result-oriented Supply Chain & Procurement Manager (M/F).

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee international shipping, customs clearance, and local transportation of equipment, spare parts, and consumables. Maintain strong relationships and contracts with local logistics partners.
  • Deploy inventory management systems, manage full lifecycle inventory, conduct regular counts, manage dangerous goods, and oversee reverse logistics for obsolete or defective equipment.
  • Implement procurement processes according to group standards, manage the local vendor database, conduct rolling 12-month forecasts, and place orders with headquarters or local suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, deliver regular technical and operational reports to management, and drive quality and cost-optimization projects.

Candidate Profile

  • University degree or technical training in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or inventory management.

Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (specifically SAP) and inventory management tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and planning skills.

Preferred Assets:

  • Technical background (Electrical, Mechanical, or Microelectronics) and experience in a manufacturing environment with LEAN principles are a strong advantage.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to perform well under pressure and a strong customer-focused mindset.
